The 5738 Series are Memory Card Connectors complying with SDIO specifications defined by the SDA I/O working group which recommends SD memory cards. They can be utilized in a wide range of applications including mobile phones, PHSs, PDAs, notebook PCs and digital AV equipment. With a shield plate that minimizes the size of opening, two terminal types are available: outer terminal type suitable for notebook PCs and digital audio-visual equipment, and inner terminal type suitable for mobile phones and PDAs. Low-profile is achieved with a height of 2.8mm for the outer terminal type and 2.9mm for the inner terminal type (excluding the lock area), and this series is equipped with a write protection switch for SD cards and a card detection switch.
