0.2mm – 6246 Series

The 6246 Series are 0.2mm pitch FPC connectors. These products feature a low profile height of 1.85mm for dual-faced FPCs, developed to meet the needs of high-density mounting and downsizing. The 6246 Series adopted a leadless structure in which tails are contained in the outer package to save space, and has dual-faced contacts that assure contact reliability when connecting with dual-faced FPCs. In order to prevent the slider from unlocking and releasing the FPC, the slider turns in the opposite direction from the FPC insertion opening when locking. This resists the stress caused by FPC flections and/or a withdrawal force applied to the FPC. The connectors will be delivered with the sliders unlocked in order to reduce production labor.
