The 6809 Series possess enhanced robustness after implementing measures aimed at reducing breakage of connectors caused by human error. These low profile products feature a pitch of 0.5mm, bottom contact, front-lock type with a height of 0.93mm for mounting area, and can be applied to FPC/FFC thicknesses of 0.3mm. The pad patterns are compatible with the existing 6299 Series. Misalignments of the contact position are prevented by combining the connector to a notched FPC/FFC. Workability is also improved as the unmated condition can be visually confirmed, and the design structure prevents breakage due to improper operation of the actuator or forced insertion of FPC/FFC. Fixing parts for notched FPC/FFC are located on the actuator and realize good insertion operability, and flat or notched type FPC/FFC cables are available.
