SMD Film capacitor using a stacked and naked construction with metallized polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). Available in case sizes from 1206 to 1812 and capacitance values from 1 nF up to 180 nF.v. Suitable for applications with voltage requirement below 50V and where SMD is mandatory. The self-healing property of the PPS film provides an open failure mode with increased overall reliability. PPS film capacitors provides very stable capacitance value with temperature, similary to ceramic NPO. It also provides low DC bias and very low dielectric absorbtion. PPS capacitors exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance. Use of High Temperature dielectric film PPS makes these capacitors suitable for IR or Vapor Phase Reflow.
